Role Overview:

We need a project based Data Engineer with Snowflake. We will consider both freelancers and those interested in joining our payroll on a temporary basis. 

The bulk of the data engineer’s work will be in building, managing and optimizing data pipelines, views and models, whilst working with our teams to move these (and additional models) effectively into production for key data and analytics consumers.

This role is project based and is based from the office in the Canary Islands, Spain. To apply for this vacancy you must have the right to work in Spain. The role can only be performed remotely only within Spain. We are unable to hire candidates who require relocation or visa support.

Work experience: 

• 4 + Years Experience of Snowflake data platform - SQL , Python 
• Experience of Github / Workflows / Azure DevOps 
• Experience of Open flow (Snowflake hosted would be beneficial) 
• Experience of DBT  - DBT Core / Dbt Project ( not cloud)
• Experience of using Cortex and AI functions to process documentation and extract key information 
• Experience of Contractual documentation extraction and reporting 
• Experience of data modelling ( Star schema)
• Experience of Power BI report creation ( design , build and testing) 

• Client facing role , so communication skills are needed 
• English Level required: B2 - Independent users of the language, i.e. those who have the necessary fluency to communicate without effort with native speakers.
